Learn Primative Fire Making Skills With a 101 Survival Class
After a day on the river, enhance your camping experience with a primitive fire-making class, where you’ll learn essential survival skills. This hands-on class teaches you how to gather materials, arrange a fire, and ignite it using traditional flint and steel methods. Then, relax around the campfire, sharing stories and soaking in the peaceful ambiance. Perhaps, a smore or two also!
Explore the Lynches River by Kayak
Begin your adventure with a thrilling nine-mile paddle along the serene blackwater of the Lynches River, surrounded by towering cypress trees and abundant wildlife. Then, transition to an exhilarating eleven-mile paddle on the final day, offering both excitement and tranquility. Consequently, these daily excursions provide the perfect blend of nature and adventure, making this trip ideal for both seasoned kayakers and curious beginners. We will explore the history and beauty of over 20 miles of the designated Revolutionary Paddle Trail along the Lynches River, a place that Francis Marion “Swamp Fox” once used as his hideout during the revolutionary war.
Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Check in time 1pm
- 1:00pm: Arrive at campsite to check in and organize your tent/site.
- 4:00pm: Meet at host site for mandatory welcome orientation**
- 5:30pm: Dinner and bonfire; (Meal Not Included)
- 7:00pm: Flint fire making Class (Flint fire starter kit included)
- 10:00pm: Quiet Hours
Day 2:
- 7:30-8:30am: Continental Style Breakfast (Included)
- 8:45am: Depart for Lynches River County Park
- 11:00am: Return to Campground / Lunch (Meal not included)
- 12:00pm: Depart for Kayak trip (9 Miles)
- 5:00pm: Return to campground / Dinner.
- 6:30pm: Fire Making Challenge (Flint fire starter kit Included)
Day 3: Check Out Day
- 7:30-8:30am: Continental Breakfast (Included)
- 9:00am: Depart for Paddle Trip (11 miles). Pack a lunch.
- 3:00pm: Return to camp and pack up.
